Parts Manager Backwater 2 Bluewater Boats Saint Augustine, FL 32095 Job Summary The Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing inventory management, and distribution of outboard motor parts and boat parts to technitions . This role requires a strong understanding of marine repair systems, as well as effective demand planning and customer service skills. The Parts Manager will ensure that all parts are available for service operations while maintaining optimal inventory levels to meet customer needs. Duties Manage the entire parts inventory, including procurement, storage, and distribution. Write work orders. File warranty claims with manufactures. Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels. Collaborate with service departments to forecast demand for parts and supplies. Oversee the buying process for parts, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. Fabricate or procure specialized parts as required for unique repairs or projects. Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and ensure proper documentation is in place. Conduct regular audits of inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards. Provide training and support to staff regarding parts management systems and procedures. Utilize automotive diagnostics knowledge to assist in identifying necessary parts for repairs. Experience Proven experience in within the marine industry. Familiarity with marine repair systems and processes is essential. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact with team members, customers and vendors efficiently.
