Position Overview
The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for leading all activities within Supply Chain and Logistics to support the development, production and distribution across multiple departments, supporting 28 models of Boston Whaler boats. This role leads a team of up to 40+ employees (including direct reports and managers) across various parts of Supply Chain including sourcing, purchasing, warehouse, loading, logistics, and coordinates with supplier quality in a rapidly growing environment. Essential Functions:
Coordinate the sourcing and purchase of raw materials and components for the organization, totaling more than 8,000 active SKUs, with over 400 vendors
Plan, develop, optimize, and direct production fill rates, inventory costs, and shortage levels; proactively report product and material availability and quality issues
Identifies and develops opportunities for material cost reductions and efficiency improvements while maintaining or improving product quality
Takes a pro-active role with other company employees in assessing present raw material fulfillment and logistics practices and works with appropriate internal and external groups to initiate and execute process improvements
Establishes professional working relationships with suppliers, communicates priorities for critical shipments and provides accurate monthly and annual material forecasts; Maintains strong relationships with customers to influence high-level strategies related to materials and logistics
Works closely with Sales, PDE, and Production Team on review and feedback of late change orders, special instructions, and production schedule changes
Responsible for employee performance evaluations including, hiring, training, coaching, and promotion decisions
Ensure both warehouse and loading operate with highest regard to safety. Align resources to match business requirements for both facilities.
Utilizes Key Performance Indicators to drive business

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of seven years of Supply Chain experience in manufacturing environment required
Thorough knowledge of Supply Chain operations inclusive to Strategic Sourcing, Inventory Management, Logistics, and Demand Planning in multi-plant environment.
ERP and advanced analytics training and understanding
Requires excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
Strong analytical and proven problem-solving skills required
Preferred Qualifications:
M.B.A. degree preferred
Experience with Lean/5S methodologies (Greenbelt Certification Preferred)
Enthusiastic self-starter with excellent organization skills; ability to balance multiple priorities
Ability to lead effectively within a team environment
Working Conditions:
Standard office environment with ability to work on shop floor as needed. Office environment is climate controlled.
Shop floor is non-climate controlled. Temperature fluctuates with outside environmental conditions, such as air temperature, radiant heat from sunlight, air movement, and humidity levels.
The noise level in the office environment is minimal. The noise level on the shop floor is usually moderate.
The anticipated pay range for this position is $115,700 to $185,900, annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
