Materials Supervisor Status:

Fulltime, Exempt Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday 6:30am to 3:30pm with flexibility

Dedicated to innovation and excellence, our primary focus involves offering Tier 1 manufacturing support to the automotive OEM’s. As we expand our operations, we are seeking a Materials Supervisor to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview:

The Materials Supervisor will oversee and coordinate various logistical functions within our manufacturing facility. This role is crucial to ensuring efficient operations, timely delivery of products, and effective management of logistics personnel. You will work as part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the manufacturing of cutting-edge automobiles.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

Oversee inventory levels, ensuring adequate supplies of raw materials, components, and finished goods. Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and ensure accuracy.

Customer Coordination:

Work closely with Customer to ensure timely delivery of materials. Resolve any supply chain issues that may arise and negotiate favorable terms when necessary.

Production Support:

Collaborate with production teams to forecast material needs and ensure continuous production flow. Address material shortages or discrepancies promptly.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and mentor the materials team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.

Safety and Compliance:

Ensure all material handling activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvement within the materials department to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of inventory, deliveries, and material usage. Generate regular reports for management review.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a materials management or supervisory role within the manufacturing industry, preferably in automotive or plastic parts production. Strong understanding of material handling, inventory control, and supply chain management. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and MS Office Suite. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Bilingual capabilities.
