Role:

The 1st Shift Bulk Unloader plays a crucial role in the Non-Durable Goods Manufacturing industry by ensuring the efficient and safe unloading of bulk materials. This position is responsible for maintaining the flow of production by accurately handling and transferring materials from delivery vehicles to storage areas. The successful candidate will work closely with the production team to ensure that all materials are unloaded in a timely manner, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential, as the role involves operating heavy machinery and managing large quantities of materials. Ultimately, the Bulk Unloader contributes significantly to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the manufacturing process.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in forklift operation or other heavy machinery. Experience with inventory management systems. Knowledge of safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate unloading equipment to transfer bulk materials from delivery trucks to designated storage areas. Inspect and verify the quality and quantity of materials received against shipping documents. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Collaborate with team members to coordinate unloading schedules and address any issues that may arise during the process. Document and report any discrepancies or damages to materials to the appropriate personnel.
