JOB SUMMARY

TheDirector Operational Excellence is a strategic leadership roleresponsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of inventorymanagement, service level excellence, and performance management,within the organization. This individual will ensure efficientinventory planning, compliance, project planning and distributioncontrol to support business objectives, enhance operationalefficiency, and minimize costs. The ideal candidate will bring astrong analytical mindset, proven leadership experience, and aresults-driven approach to ensure the right products are availableat the right time and place to meet customer and business needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

Developand execute a comprehensive inventory management strategy alignedwith organizational goals, market trends, and customer demands.

Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor a high-performing inventorymanagement team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuousimprovement, and collaboration.

Inventory Optimization:

Monitor andanalyze inventory levels, ensuring appropriate stock levels tominimize carrying costs while avoiding stockouts or overstocking.

Data-Driven Insights:

Leverage data analytics and forecasting toolsto predict inventory needs, optimize supply chain operations, andidentify opportunities for cost savings.

Supplier and VendorRelations:

Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timelydeliveries, negotiate favorable terms, and establish strongpartnerships.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with keydepartments such as procurement, operations, sales, and finance toalign inventory goals with overall business objectives. Workclosely with customer account management teams to tailoroperational solutions to client needs, translating customerrequirements into operational action plans. Act as a seniorescalation point for any service issues, swiftly addressing rootcauses to maintain trust and demonstrate a commitment tocustomer-focused operational excellence.

Service Level Excellence:

Align operational strategies with customer success objectives byensuring all service level agreements are met or exceeded throughproactive management. Implement process improvements aimed atboosting on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery performance, directlycontributing to higher customer satisfaction.

Process Improvement:

Design and implement robust inventory policies, procedures, andtechnologies to improve accuracy, reduce waste, and enhanceoperational efficiency. Implement warehouse layout and designchanges to optimize space utilization, improve material flow andsupport evolving customer requirements.

Compliance and Reporting:

Develop and Implement KPI for all critical operational areas anduse real-time dashboards to monitor these metrics. Establishregular reporting on inventory performance, KPIs, and cost controlinitiatives. Ensure strict compliance with all relevant laws,regulations, company policies, and industry standards acrosswarehouse activities.
