Summary:

The Inventory Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the inventory control department. This leadership role will be responsible for assigning work and work functions to inventory control employees as necessary to meet the needs of the distribution center, following company and site-specific safety policies, and ensuring the daily workload is completed in a timely manner. The Inventory Supervisor will lead by example and aid in developing a culture that embraces safety, quality, and productivity. 3

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The Inventory Supervisor will be responsible for the following, but not limited to: Accountability for inventory accuracy and management of the inventory control program. Proper execution and improvement of the cycle count program. Maintaining replenishment of inventory bins with items for picking and shipment. Assign tasks to distribution center personnel through written and/or oral instruction, including conduct of cycle counts, inventory bin consolidation, item reallocation and resolution of inventory issues. Supervise tasks performed by distribution center personnel. Complete reports and records in a timely manner. Train and direct employees on care and preservation of products, use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, inventory stock, and resolution of problems. Ensure high-quality customer service through assisting employees in the distribution center when help is needed. Take action and speak to associates when proper safety, quality, and productivity procedures are not being followed. Work cooperatively and productively with other distribution center associates. Adhere to company or site-specific safety policy and guidelines to ensure safe working conditions for self and others. Troubleshoot machine and equipment malfunctions and report them to maintenance personnel. Performs distribution center functions including order loading/unloading/moving items. Ability to pull a 50 lb. cart throughout the distribution center. Ability to locate products using technology (RF equipment). Ability to read and interpret numbers and words from system and operational documents. Follows company procedures and policies to complete tasks in a timely manner. Participate in keeping the facility maintained in a clean, neat, and orderly fashion. Employee evaluation and development. Additional duties assigned.

Qualifications & Education Requirements:

To perform the job successfully, an individual must have the following: Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience working in a distribution center or warehouse environment. Previous leadership experience as a manager or supervisor. Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and warehouse management system (WMS) – Epicor P21, SAP, Oracle NetSuite, etc. Experience working with forklifts and other Material Handling Equipment (MHE). Warehouse environment use of RF scanners. Inventory control experience. Must be able to work independently. Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older. High school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to perform any physically exerting duties in a distribution center/warehouse environment, which may be non-air conditioned or heated, meaning the indoor temperature fluctuates with the seasons. Utilize a computer and other tools for administrative support. Utilize a computer and other tools to monitor productivity and operations. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Lifting of objects up to 50 pounds, on occasion. Work in a high traffic area. If certified, operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other machinery.
