The Terminal Manager will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of all terminal operations, ensuring the smooth coordination of company and owner-operator drivers. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in P&L management, a deep understanding of drayage operations, and the ability to manage various facets of the business, including dispatch, customer service, safety, and recruiting.

Key Responsibilities:

P&L Management:

Effectively manage and optimize the terminal’s profit and loss, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and revenue/margin enhancement.

Operations Management:

Oversee all terminal operations, including dispatch, customer service, safety protocols, recruiting, and overall workflow to ensure efficient and timely delivery of services.

Driver Management:

Supervise and coordinate activities of company and owner-operator drivers to maintain a high level of performance, safety, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Customer Service:

Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and maintaining strong relationships.

Recruitment and Training:

Lead the recruitment, retention, onboarding, and training processes for new drivers, ensuring a skilled and reliable workforce.

Safety and Compliance:

Implement and enforce safety policies and compliance procedures to maintain a safe work environment and comply with industry regulations.

Performance Analysis:

Analyze terminal performance metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor a team of employees, fostering a positive work culture, and providing guidance and support for achieving organizational goals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum of 5 years of experience in terminal management, drayage operations, or related roles Demonstrated experience in P&L management and financial analysis Proven experience in managing owner-operators and company drivers Strong understanding of drayage operations, trucking regulations, and industry best practices Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills Familiarity with port operations and knowledge of port infrastructure Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Reporting Structure:

The Terminal Manager will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and collaborate closely with other key departments within the organization.

Job Type:

Full-time Pay:

$75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
