We are seeking a strategic and hands-on General Manager to lead our operations in the Haynesville Shale area. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oil & Gas, Transportation, Rental Equipment, Water Logistics, and Fluids, along with strong leadership skills to drive business growth and operational excellence. This role requires a proactive leader who can drive organizational growth, lead from the front, and contribute at a granular level when necessary.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee daily company operations, including Field and Yard Operations, Maintenance and DOT Shops, Dispatch, Asset Management, Safety, Compliance, and Staff.
Collaborate with department managers to optimize workflow, employee engagement, and productivity.
Identify, organize, and delegate tasks to departments, ensuring follow-up through task completion.
Solve known and unknown problems.
Enforce company SOPs.
Support and guide department managers for continuous growth and development.
Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Monitor Field, Yard, and Shop expenditures.
Manage vendor relationships for best pricing and purchasing.
Review weekly payroll.
Interview and qualify new employees and contractors as needed.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience in the oil and gas transportation and/or fluids industry
5+ years of experience in Oil & Gas management
Proven experience in large-scale operations and project management
Strong leadership and team-building skills
Ability to develop and implement strategic growth initiatives
Ability to develop, implement, and enforce company policies, procedures, and protocols
Ability to lead and mentor a high-performing team of 25+ fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence
Excellent business development and closing skills
Working knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, Environmental, and other industry-specific regulations
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to have hard conversations Experience with lean management and process optimization
Ability to interface with C-level executives and owners
Confident, self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented
Strong market knowledge and key account management experience
Technical leadership and the ability to deliver impactful presentations
Experience in contract negotiation and management
Customer support and teamwork-oriented mindset
Ability to speak publicly and confidently is an absolute must
Accessible, dependable, and committed to doing whatever it takes (even if this means working after hours, weekends, etc)
