Job Description

Supply Chain Manager 2.4 2.4 out of 5 stars 1 Nathan Sedley Rd, Shreveport, LA 71115 Ronpak is a nationally renowned manufacturer of carry out paper bags, portion control bags and food wraps with a huge range of choices. Founded in 1947, the company is a solid supplier with continuous, stable ownership. Ronpak has the most advanced production and distribution platforms in the custom printed packaging industry today. We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced and skilled Supply Chain Manager M-F from 7 AM-4PM and as needed to oversee and manage our company’s overall supply chain operations. Salary for the position is dependent on experience. Qualified candidates should show a history of progression through their career. Candidate must be a hands-on person, willing to learn the operation from the production floor throughout and ideally be able to think on their feet and solution oriented. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency of the supply chain process from production to delivery.

Essential Job Functions:

Supports plant operations to ensure quality products are produced to meet customer demand in a timely manner by overseeing the plant’s supply chain operations to maximize efficiency and productivity, which include: o MRP Planning o Material Procurement including plant supplies o Production Scheduling o Make ready preparation o Shipping / freight management o Inventory management – timely and accurate recording of transactions, performing ongoing cycle counts and reconciliations to validate on hand balances and meet inventory turn objectives o Warehouse organization to ensure efficient and safe handling of materials as well as proper location and product rotation to accomplish FIFO inventory flow Serves as liaison between Corporate Scheduling and plant production, coordinating and communicating adjustments to daily/weekly production schedules with production manager as well as other supporting departments such as quality or maintenance to meet customer demand. Serves as liaison between Customer Service and plant production, coordinating and communicating adjustments to schedule, production or delivery dates as required to meet customer orders. Maintain current monitoring processes and reports. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Experience:

5+ years transferable work-related experience with inventory management responsibility in a management capacity.

Degree:

Four-Year Degree Relevant qualifications a plus (e.g. CPIM)

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

Contributes to the evaluation of the production process. Assists in addressing product complaints and resolutions. Supports the General Manager in additional duties as assigned.
