Parts Manager Mikes Marine and Storage 1517 Weeks Island Road, New Iberia, LA 70560 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Parts Manager to oversee the inventory and supply chain operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing parts procurement, inventory control, and customer service to ensure efficient operations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management, shipping and receiving processes, and demand planning, particularly in the marine industry. Duties Manage inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize excess inventory. Coordinate with suppliers to procure necessary parts and negotiate favorable terms. Implement effective demand planning strategies to forecast parts requirements accurately. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to parts availability. Collaborate with the service department to ensure timely availability of parts for boat repair. Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and manage the parts database. Answer phones, redirect as needed Qualifications Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or supply chain management. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Familiarity with Total Control system is preferred but not mandatory. Competence in using inventory management software and tools. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously. A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
