Receiving/Inventory Control Manager JV Foods 595 W Alpha Dr, Destrehan, LA 70047 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Receiving Manager to oversee the receiving operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the receipt of goods, ensuring accuracy in inventory management, and optimizing logistics processes. This role requires organization and product knowledge, as well as physical labor moving and organizing products. Computer and spreadsheet knowledge is very welcomed. Responsibilities Manage and supervise the receiving department, ensuring timely and accurate receipt of products. Oversee inventory management processes, including data entry and tracking of incoming shipments. Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate transportation and delivery schedules. Implement production planning strategies to align receiving operations with overall business objectives. Identify areas for process improvement within the receiving function, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all receiving activities. Skills Knowledge of logistics operations and inventory management systems. Ability to drive process improvement initiatives within the receiving department. Familiarity with pricing strategies related to inventory management. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members.
