Dyne Therapeutics is discovering and advancinginnovative life-transforming therapeutics for people living withgenetically driven neuromuscular diseases. Leveraging themodularity of its FORCE™ platform, Dyne is developing targetedtherapeutics that deliver to muscle and the central nervous system(CNS). Dyne has a broad pipeline for neuromuscular diseases,including clinical programs for myotonic dystrophy type 1 (DM1) andDuchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) and preclinical programs forfacioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) and Pompe disease.

Role Summary:

The Director of Supply Chain Planning is responsiblefor end-to-end inventory and production planning across Dyne’sexternal supply network. This includes long-range planning (LRP),ensuring uninterrupted clinical supply, and supporting commerciallaunch readiness through scenario-based planning and riskassessments. This strategic role is critical in executing currentplanning activities and shaping future supply chain capabilities.

The Director collaborates cross-functionally with ProcessDevelopment, Research, CMC, Quality, Clinical Operations, andCommercial teams. It is an opportunity to help shape the future ofDyne’s supply chain function during a critical period of growth andinnovation. This role is based in Waltham, MA without thepossibility of being fully remote.

Primary ResponsibilitiesInclude:

Collaborate with cross-functional partners in CMC,Logistics, Quality, Clinical Operations, and Commercial to developand maintain a reliable demand and supply plan, ensureuninterrupted product availability for patients, support commercialreadiness, and align with the company’s business objectives.

Maintain an understanding of external manufacturing sitecapacities, capabilities, and supply risks. Identify and implementopportunities to optimize supply chain processes and driveefficiencies. Lead scenario planning to evaluate alternative demandand supply assumptions and inform risk mitigation strategies. Leadmonthly demand and supply planning meetings with cross functionalteam members as part of our drive to a formal Integrated BusinessPlanning / Sales and Operations Planning process. Perform analysisof Dyne portfolio, including inventory projections, supplyperformance and risks. Integrate with other global planningprocesses to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyzesupply chain data to identify opportunities for improvement andcost savings. Author Supply Chain-related standard operatingprocedures (SOPs) and work instructions. Manage relationships withthird-party suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery ofmaterials and components. Ensure compliance with regulatoryrequirements and quality standards in supply chain operations.

Education and Skills Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in SupplyChain, Business, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degreepreferred. Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a biotech,pharmaceutical, or life sciences environment. Ability toeffectively plan, prioritize, execute, follow up and anticipatechallenges. Experience managing complex schedules and priorities indynamic pharmaceutical, biotech or related environments. Ability towork, influence, and gain agreement across multiple functions.

Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Strong knowledge of supply chain best practices, inventorymanagement, and demand forecasting. Proficiency in advanced Excelfunctions and familiarity with planning and analytics tools such asSmartsheet, Visio, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and Power BI.Collaborative work style to be part of a team to identify processgaps and develop solutions. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, andwritten communication skills. Experience in supply chain, drugdevelopment, project management, and/or pharmaceuticalmanufacturing/packaging. In-depth working knowledge of regulationsrelating to clinical manufacturing, packaging and distributionactivities (CGMP, GCP). APICS or CSCMP certification a plus.
