Position Description:

The Sr, Manager, Transportation System is the expert in Transportation System Routing Solutions and is responsible for their implementation, maintenance, execution, and overall success. Leading a team of routing specialists, this role oversees routing functions for all 113 distribution center locations across the US, ensuring efficient daily routing execution that meets customer service level agreements (SLAs) and drive operational efficiencies. Key Responsibilities Act as the Business Lead for the implementation and integration of routing solutions such as Descartes Route Planner, Traction, and Master Data Management, ensuring seamless deployment aligned with business objectives Plan, direct, and implement resource scheduling, allocation, dispatching, and communication functions to maximize vehicle utilization and achieve world-class service delivery Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Routing/Delivery operations, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across teams including Central Routing, DC Operations, and Contact Center Operations Establish and maintain a training program for Routing/Delivery operations, conducting scheduled training sessions and process compliance audits to uphold operational standards Develop and manage a Routing Help Desk process using internal systems (e.g., ServiceNow) for incident intake, tracking, resolution, and reporting. Use data insights to identify root causes and implement corrective actions Collaborate closely with corporate Sr. Director

  • LMD and Regional Supply Chain Directors to address equipment issues, optimize fleet size, and enhance equipment utilization Develop and maintain metrics on cost, service, capacity utilization, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) defined by the company.

Analyze new acquisitions and distribution center relocations to optimize routing strategies and operational efficiency Demonstrate leadership that engages and empowers associates to own their performance expectations, grow their careers and contribute to the company mission and vision Lead a team of Routing Specialists to execute daily routing operations for over 100 distribution center locations across the US. Ensure adherence to customer SLAs and identify opportunities to optimize operational efficiency Competencies Balances stakeholders
