A Brief Overview Warehouse/Inventory Supervisor is responsible for detailed purchasing and perpetual inventory management processes/activities, daily cycle counting and reconciliations. Inventory accuracy, resource management, space utilization and quality compliance are crucial to the effective and efficient operation of the Cooperative performance and operation. This position supports period-end close and special projects as requested and works closely with managers to understand issues and how they impact financial results. During the absence of the Director of Logistics, the Warehouse/Inventory Supervisor assumes the responsibilities of the Director of Logistics. What you will do Responsible for maintaining fleet records and reporting fleet related assets to include, renewing vehicle registrations, adding new vehicles to fleet management records in NISC software, and assigning expenses to the designated fleet vehicle in the general ledger Monitor, maintain and track offsite inventory, subsidiary records to ensure accurate reporting and prepare for inventory cycle counts, investigate variances and performing necessary adjustments to the general ledger Review cycle count variances to determine inventory issues and to pin point variance reasons Under the direction of the Director of Logistics review and recommend supplier products, pricing, available quantity and delivery time frame Work closely with department managers with inventory to determine purchasing needs for production and office products Manage supply activity for ordering, organization and distribution of all materials to reconcile inventory counts Pre-authorize all logistics and facilities management invoices; review accuracy for vendors, pricing, and general ledger information to include, processes for non-routine inventory adjustments Manage all mail-room activity, to include mailing, shipping, ordering supplies, operating equipment and distribution of USPS mail Review materials report and research vendor and payment records to determine if materials have been invoiced and paid with an attached purchase order Gather materials for jobs, load and unload trucks, and prepare pick lists, as needed. Assist managing facilities for three (3) locations and preparing documents to put out bids for contractors and maintain routine maintenance of all facilities and grounds Assist preparation of annual budget and monthly budget analysis Direct daily activities of warehouse, garage and temporary staff Oversee receiving, inventory count and storing of all incoming materials, and supplies. Detect and ship damaged goods back to the suppliers and processes warranty replacements. Reconcile return authorization quantities to physical receipts, ensuring all materials are received, ensure proper placement in warehouse for all receipts Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree Business Administration or Business related field Required or An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job 5-8 years Working knowledge of inventory management and cost accounting Required 1-3 years Supervisor/management responsibility Required Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze and interpret data required Must have an understanding of physical inventory, cycle counts, inventory adjustments and pick lists Knowledge/training on OSHA General Industry safety standards is required Familiarity with operating and maintaining powered forklifts and material handling equipment Ability to plan, review, supervise, and inspect the work of others.
