The North American SupplyChain Director is responsible for optimizing On-Time In-Full (OTIF)customer delivery performance and proactively managing inventory toimprove cash flow, cost structure, and operational efficiency. Thisstrategic, customer-focused role interacts significantly withSales, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Logistics teams to achievebusiness goals, and directly manages the Planning and Schedulingfunction. It balances longer-term, cross-functional strategy withoperational execution and day-to-day performance management,especially in planning, inventory, and customer delivery. Theposition emphasizes both inventory availability and cost-consciousdecision-making to support service level commitments whileenhancing financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

On-TimeIn-Full (OTIF)

Performance:

Drive and achieve targeted OTIF metricsconsistently, identifying root causes for deviations andimplementing effective corrective actions. Establish and maintainrobust OTIF tracking and reporting mechanisms to ensuretransparency and accountability across supply chain teams.

Collaborate closely with Sales and Customer Service teams to ensureoperational alignment with agreed-upon customer lead times anddelivery commitments, as defined by formal service agreements orexpectations. Focus on consistently meeting customer commitmentsthrough effective planning and coordination.

Proactive InventoryControl and Optimization:

Own the strategy and execution ofinventory management, balancing customer service levels, cash flow,and inventory turnover. Champion the adoption of industry bestpractices in inventory planning, including the development of moreadvanced, data-driven approaches to safety stock, reorder points,and replenishment strategies. Leverage ERP systems and analyticsplatforms (e.g., Power BI) to improve visibility, forecastaccuracy, and responsiveness to demand variability.

Customer-FacingSupply Chain Liaison:

Act as the key supply chain representativefor strategic customer relationships, including participation inaccount reviews and operational meetings. Provide proactivecommunication, transparency, and solutions related to lead times,order fulfillment, and service expectations. Build long-termcollaborative relationships with customer operations and supplychain teams to ensure alignment and responsiveness.

Cost Monitoringand Performance:

Track and analyze key cost metrics related tosupply chain operations, particularly in purchasing and logistics.

Partner closely with Purchasing and Logistics teams to identifyopportunities for cost reduction, operational efficiencies, andimproved accountability.

Team Leadership and Development:

Manage,mentor, and develop the U.S. and Mexico based Planning, Purchasing,and Logistics teams, clearly defining roles, priorities, andperformance expectations. Foster a collaborative environment toensure alignment with company strategies and operationalexcellence.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in supply chainmanagement, logistics, business administration, or a related field;Master’s degree preferred. Minimum 10 years of progressiveexperience in supply chain management roles, preferably withinmanufacturing. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities withexperience using ERP systems and analytics tools such as Power BI.Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record ofeffectively leading and developing high-performing teams.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functionalcollaboration skills. Willingness to travel up to 25%, includingperiodic visits to our Mexico operations and strategic customersites.
