Position Summary The Inventory Manager oversees all inventory operations to ensure accurate records, efficient processes, and optimal stock levels across the organization. This leadership role involves managing staff, refining systems and procedures, and collaborating cross-functionally to maintain product availability and accuracy within ERP/MRP systems. The Inventory Manager is responsible for strategic oversight of inventory control processes and plays a key role in supporting operational efficiency and cost control. Key Responsibilities Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, supplies, and products Manage inventory control systems, ensuring accurate data entry, barcode tracking, and location assignments within ERP/MRP systems Lead and conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts; investigate and resolve discrepancies Develop and generate detailed reports on inventory trends, stock movement, and adjustments Supervise and support inventory staff, providing training and performance feedback Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, and Shipping departments to align inventory levels with demand and production schedules Develop and implement the best practices for inventory control and materials management Maintain compliance with company policies and safety regulations Recommend process improvements to optimize warehouse organization and inventory accuracy Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager to plan space usage and optimize stock rotation Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute , with 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and inventory tracking software Prior experience operating a tow motor in a warehouse setting Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and reporting tools Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills Strong leadership and communication abilities Proven track record of process improvement and team management Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory management, with 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and inventory tracking software Prior experience operating a tow motor in a warehouse setting Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and reporting tools Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills Strong leadership and communication abilities Proven track record of process improvement and team management Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working with Acumatica ERP software Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement training/certifications Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and collaborate with departments such as Purchasing, Production, and Finance Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., ISO, OSHA, FDA) as they relate to inventory storage and handling Ability to create and manage KPIs for inventory accuracy, turnover, and cost reduction Pre-Employment Requirements Valid Driver’s License & Evidence of Ability to Insure Criminal Justice Background Check (state and federal) Drug Test (5-panel) E-Verify eligibility verification Physical Requirements Must be able to lift and move up to 65 pounds as needed. This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing, sometimes for up to 8 hours per day. Work is performed in both warehouse/yard and office environments, requiring the ability to transition between sedentary and physically active tasks. While in the office, the employee must be able to sit at a computer workstation for prolonged periods (up to 8 hours), use hands and fingers to operate a keyboard, phone, and other office equipment, and accurately read, write, and complete documentation. In warehouse and yard settings, the employee must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods and operate necessary equipment. Must have current forklift or heavy equipment certification or the ability to obtain it. Work may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, fumes, airborne particles, mechanical parts, and vibration. Noise levels can be loud, requiring constant awareness of surroundings. Adherence to all company safety standards is required, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel-toe boots, gloves, and high-visibility clothing, as applicable to the work environment. Work Schedule This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with a 1-hour lunch as scheduled with management. This position may require hours beyond the standard working hours listed above to satisfy job duties and department demand. Company Benefits Benefit eligibility begins on the first of the month following the completion of 30 days of employment.
