Logistics Operations Manager Position Available In Wake, North Carolina

Logistics Operations Manager Peopleware Search Morrisville, NC 27560 Great opportunity to join the start-up of a US division of global electrical products company. The Logistics Manager will be part of a small but experienced team developing procedures and processes and, as such, will be required to be in the office. Offices are located near RDU, south of I40 in Morrisville, NC.

Experience:

5-10 years in a distribution firm, preferably one with some customizable products

Education:

minimum BA/BS Knowledge requirements:

• Experience and subject matter expertise managing/maintaining the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP platform.
• Ensure purchase order packages to customers are complete, accurate and communicated to the factory in a timely manner
• In conjunction with the factory, develop and communicate production schedules including transportation time vis Sales or distributors and reps.
• Monitor customs clearance activities and work with the factory to resolve any issues. Coordinate with finance and Sales should tariff monitoring and management become necessary
• Continual interaction with sales and finance teams to support delivery of customer and financial commitments.
• Monitor and oversee customer acceptance processes and timelines to ensure timely order closure. Match purchase orders issued to factory with customer receipt of goods to validate deliveries are as expected. Coordinate with finance to initiate customer billing processes as necessary.
• Periodic interaction with sales and finance team on financial forecast updates
• Lead Sales and Operations planning for production forecast development and coordination factories

Abilities:

• Excel, Salesforce and Microsoft deep subject matter expertise
• Build proposals, manage approval process and deliver to Sales team or customer.
• ERP implementation (MS Dynamics) – in conjunction with Sales and Finance
• Coordination with Sales and Finance to ensure alignment and collaboration.
• Initially this is a hands-on roll with no direct reports; however, this will change once business activity volumes warrant.
• Ability to identify and resolve challenges in logistics processes and operations.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with finance and sales teams and other departments.
