We have an immediate opening for an Inventory Manager for our Sparta, New Jersey location. Our culture is focused on growth and our environment is fast paced. Salary range is based on Experience.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Inventory Manager to oversee and optimize inventory operations across a multi-state manufacturing network. This role is critical in ensuring the right products are manufactured, transferred, and stocked to meet dealer demand across 15 states. The Inventory Manager will collaborate closely with site-level operations and production managers at five manufacturing facilities to maintain optimal inventory levels, streamline transfers, and support production planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Planning & Control
- Develop and maintain inventory strategies that align with production schedules and dealer demand.
- Set and monitor minimum and maximum inventory levels for each product line and location.
- Analyze inventory trends and adjust stocking strategies accordingly.
- Production Coordination
- Work with production managers at each of the five manufacturing sites to schedule production runs based on forecasted demand and inventory levels.
- Ensure timely communication of production needs and changes.
- Inventory Transfers & Logistics
- Coordinate inter-facility inventory transfers to balance stock levels and reduce lead times.
- Collaborate with logistics and transportation teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective movement of goods.
- Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate inventory records across all locations using ERP or inventory management systems.
- Generate regular reports on inventory health, turnover rates, and stock discrepancies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the central point of contact between manufacturing sites and the dealer network.
- Partner with sales, operations, and supply chain teams to align inventory with business goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a multi-site manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory control systems, forecasting, and production planning.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel; experience with tools like NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle is a plus.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel occasionally to manufacturing sites and dealer locations.
