Warehouse Operations Controller 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars 175 Pineview Drive, Amherst, NY 14228 Warehouse Operations Controller Amherst, NY Starting at $30.00 based on experience We are seeking a results driven Warehouse Operations Controller to join our dynamic and collaborative warehouse team. This individual contributor position will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily warehouse operations, including automated technology, (AutoStore) inventory stock control, stock management, sales order coordination while complying with safety standards. This salaried position ensures efficient, accurate, and timely movement and storage of goods in the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities include:
Coordinate with warehouse staff and monitor daily operations (receiving, picking, packing, shipping, etc.) Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies. Maintain up-to-date records of goods received and dispatched. Perform regular stock audits and reconcile physical inventory with system records. Liaise with suppliers, transport companies, and internal departments to ensure smooth workflow. Optimize space utilization and warehouse layout for maximum efficiency. Generate reports on warehouse performance and inventory metrics. Train and support new warehouse staff as needed.
Your Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. Proven experience in warehouse operations or inventory control. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite and SAP EWM Experience preferred Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate and give direction to warehouse teams in a professional and organized fashion. Work independently under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit for up to 8 hours a day, view computer monitor and move about effectively to fulfill the essential functions of the job Manual dexterity needed for alpha/numerical computer input Ability to perform filing duties, bend and lift 10-20 lbs.
