Supply Chain Director 5.0 5.0 out of 5 stars Chester County, PA Supply Chain Director We are working with a fast-growing natural food manufacturer of high-quality, shelf-stable products. They are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Director to join the team at their facility in Southeast Pennsylvania. The Supply Chain Director will focus on Purchasing, Negotiating, Supply Planning, and Inventory Management, while also maintaining dotted-line responsibilities for Materials Management and Outbound Logistics. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in food manufacturing supply chains and a passion for operational excellence.

Maryland and New Jersey Job Responsibilities:
Develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials and packaging. Lead supplier negotiations to secure favorable pricing, terms, and service levels. Monitor commodity markets and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly. Manage supplier contracts, performance, and compliance with food safety and sustainability standards. Collaborate with production, sales, and operations teams to develop accurate supply plans that align with demand forecasts. Ensure continuity of supply while minimizing excess inventory and obsolescence. Identify and mitigate supply risks through proactive planning and contingency strategies. Oversee inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce waste. Implement best practices for inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and reporting. Analyze inventory trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Provide strategic oversight and guidance to Materials Management and Outbound Logistics teams through dotted-line reporting. Ensure alignment between procurement, warehousing, and distribution functions. Foster collaboration across departments to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals. Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred) 8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, or operations roles, preferably in the food manufacturing industry. Proven expertise in supplier negotiation, inventory optimization, and supply planning. Experience and proven success in MRP based planning. Proven ability to develop, build and improve processes and systems. Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain planning tools. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

$140,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
