Supply Chain Manager 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 117 West State Street, Avondale, PA 19311 SUMMARY Directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in purchasing and distributing raw materials, and supplies within organization, directs the activities of inventory management, works closely with manufacturing scheduling and planning personnel as well as coordinates communications by performing the following duties personally.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks:
Development and configuration of the purchasing and logistics strategy in a global business environment. Purchase/procurement and management of production and consumable supplies. Arrangement of the supplier pool and supplier management. Purchase/procurement of capital goods. Organization of the procurement, shipment and logistics. Configuration of the storage, storage logistics as well as the execution of inventories. Inventory management and maintenance of the parameters in the ERP-system. Configuration of the organizational structure/staffing and employee management within the area of responsibility. Budget planning and control within the area of responsibility. Employee development within the area of responsibility.
Competencies:
Conclusion of purchase framework contracts according to the Limits of Authority. Negotiation/determination of purchase prices for individual purchase orders according to the Limits of Authority. Negotiation of agreements with external service providers according to the Limits of Authority. Approval/blocking/discontinuation of suppliers in coordination with in coordination with the QA department. Determining measures in the area of supplier management together with the QA department. Execution of inventory adjustment postings according to the Limits of Authority. Determination of stock parameters in the ERP-system in coordination with the Site Managers. Personnel decisions in the area of responsibility together with HR; with respect to managers, the coordination with the COO is required. Execution of disciplinary actions within the area of responsibility; coordination with HR is required.
Responsibilities:
Assurance of punctual supply of production and consumable supplies. Correctness/Optimization of the stock with a focus on material/purchased parts. Reduction/optimization of the purchase/transport prices and delivery costs. Cost-optimized configuration of the structural organization of SCM, logistics and storage. Responsible for capacity planning and management. Responsibility for the cost centers and budget within the area of responsibility. HR development/competence development within the area of responsibility. Realization and compliance of the laws and standard, especially with respect to work safety & environment protection within the area of responsibility. Knowledge/education in import/export laws and actions necessary for compliance.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Supervises Buyers, Planners, Storeroom Personnel

EXPERIENCE
– Four-year degree in Business Management, Supply Chain or related field plus relevant training in Purchasing and Materials Planning/Management. Minimum 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment in area of supply chain management with ERP systems is required. Professional certifications in planning and/or procurement and M3 logistics is preferred.
