Job Description

Primary Function The Explosives Inventory Supervisor is responsible for explosives inventory management, audit creation and analysis related to the Company’s Explosives Operating Procedures (EOP), and training, as well as assisting in developing and maintaining inventory processes within a regulatory compliant manner. This position is a blend of inventory and warehousing management.

Typical Duties:

Analyze company historical, budget and project specific needs to establish appropriate recommendations for optimization. Supervises all regional magazine site supervisors (4-6 sites). Initiates location inventory audits, to include both cycle count activities and full physical inventories. Investigate inventory discrepancies and resolves accordingly Provides resolution and direction towards proper use of temporary magazine site locations. Develops and maintains key performance indicators. Provides inventory reports to Divisional and Corporate management as required. Conducts necessary and recurrent training for EOP and Magazine storage best practices for the Company. Provides recommendations for inventory levels supporting seamless production activities. Manages on time delivery from vendors, monitors inventory turns of specific products and resulting warehousing productivity relative to internal explosives handling. Establishes guidelines for explosives inventory strategies with reorder points, consumption based forecasting and planning for various anticipated project demands. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Equivalent work experience and technical training may be substituted for bachelor’s degree. explosives industry or inventory management experience. Have a understanding of
