Position Title:
Inventory Control Manager
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The successful candidate will be responsible for the management ofaccounting for inventory purchases and reconciliation fromperpetual records to control accounts; support of the logisticsdepartment in regard to information necessary to purchase andmanager the inventory; management of accounting for trade positionsrelating to all hedge activity.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the direct supervision and management of theDivision Inventory Control processes and staff
- Responsible for development and maintaining of reporting neededto monitor inventory control /supply functions of the business
- Will have extensive daily interaction with multiple areas of thebusiness including, but not limited to Trading, Operations andFinance teams (including but not limited to the Head ofAccountingCredit groups)
- Ability to bring creative solutions and improvements to matureprocesses
- Main contact for the internal control function in all internaland external auditing needs
- Support reporting and analysis needed at the executive managementteam level
- Responsible for development and documentation of new policies,procedures and internal controls within the Inventory Controlprocesses
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree in a business, accounting and/or mathematicaldiscipline, MBA and/or CPA preferred but not required
- 5+ years minimum work experience within an inventory controlposition.
- 2+ years of management experience, both in staff oversight andproven project management skills, which have demonstrated effectivecommunication and interpersonal skills, including strong writtenand oral communication abilities
- Deep understanding of trading and derivative concepts
- understanding of FAS133/derivative accounting a plus
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skill sets
- must be attentive to detail and can hold staff accountable totaking responsibility and ownership of data integrity andapplication of self-checking techniques
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments withcompeting deadlines within a fast-paced environment, independentlywith limited direct supervision
- Experience in an organization that manages a high volume ofaccounts/transactions
- In depth experience with spreadsheet and database management
- VBA or other programming skills a plus
