We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Parts Manager to lead our parts department and support our expanding operations. Position Summary The Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the parts department, including inventory management, purchasing, staffing, and customer service. This role ensures profitability through effective inventory control, vendor relations, and team leadership, while supporting the service department, body shop, and retail/wholesale customers. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute department goals and objectives aligned with dealership targets. Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate parts department staff to ensure high performance and customer satisfaction. Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet internal and external demand while minimizing obsolescence. Oversee stock order procedures and ensure timely procurement of parts. Collaborate with service and body shop managers to ensure timely parts availability for repair orders. Analyze and optimize parts storage layout for efficiency and accessibility. Manage payroll, scheduling, and performance metrics for department personnel. Direct shipping, receiving, and delivery operations to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Lead counter and outside sales efforts to grow wholesale and retail business. Utilize manufacturer co-op advertising programs to promote parts sales. Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally in accordance with company policies. Ensure accurate processing and reconciliation of all dealership purchases. Assist with collections of overdue accounts as needed. Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment, including OSHA and MSDS standards. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications 2-4 years of experience in parts management or a related role; dealership or truck industry experience preferred. Strong leadership and team management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook); experience with CDK, Procede, or similar DMS systems is a plus. ASE Certifications are a plus. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
