The Materials Manager will lead inventory optimization and materials flow, ensuring cost-effective, agile operations in a high-volume manufacturing setting. This role aligns
SIOP/IBP
processes, manages global suppliers, and fosters collaboration across sales, production, and logistics—all while supporting sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Maintain 98%+ service levels while minimizing costs. Manage high-SKU environments with strategies like ABC analysis, JIT delivery, and AI-driven forecasting. Enforce FIFO, reduce obsolescence, and ensure ERP-based tracking.
Demand Planning:
Translate sales forecasts into inventory plans. Lead SIOP execution, align production schedules, and develop KPIs such as inventory turns and lead time improvements.
Supplier Management & Risk Mitigation:
Negotiate contracts with focus on flexibility and sustainability. Build a resilient supplier network and coordinate customs and tariff strategies.
Materials Flow Optimization:
Implement PFEP and Lean principles. Drive warehouse automation, improve layout efficiency, and reduce material handling waste.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement:
Ensure >98% inventory accuracy, lead audits, reduce material waste, and champion recyclable packaging and carbon tracking initiatives.
Leadership:
Support long-term IBP planning, mentor planners, and foster a data-driven culture.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Operations, or Engineering (required); MBA or Master’s (preferred) 7-10 years in inventory/ materials management, with 5+ in electronics/ automotive/ semiconductor manufacturing APICS CPIM or CSCP certified Advanced ERP (SAP MM/EWM, Oracle), Power BI/ Tableau, Kinaxis/ Blue Yonder expertise Knowledge of BOM, Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt+), and industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949, IPC-610)
