Barrett Firearms Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Materials Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and oversight of all materials flow within our organization. This role is critical in ensuring that all components move seamlessly from procurement to production to delivery, supporting both our operational goals and customer expectations. About the
Role:
Ensure an unbroken chain of the components needed to meet production goals. Meet and/or exceed company goals including on-time delivery, PPV, and inventory turns. Collaborate with relevant employees to ensure customer’s products are delivered on time and at the desired level of quality. Manage suppliers, budgets, inventory accuracy, procurement, inventory movement, inventory reduction efforts. Duties, responsibilities and reports may change because of continuous improvement efforts. Perform other duties as directed by supervisor or management. Business travel required; 10-20% expected but will fluctuate depending on necessity and demand.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Barrett leaders are expected to encourage and motivate employees toward company goals. Employees responsible for the movement of materials will report to the Materials Manager including Inventory, Buyers and Shipping personnel.
About You:
With strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working collaboratively. You have a customer-focused approach and a passion for delivering efficient planning, coordination and oversight solutions. Relevant Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. Operation in an ISO environment preferred. Firearms/defense industry experience preferred. Experience successfully managing all, or part of the duties and responsibilities described above. Maintain valid driver’s license. Maintain eligibility to work with firearms under state and federal guidelines. What makes Barrett an exceptional workplace?
