GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Manufacturing Supply Chain Leader serves as the single point of contact for all aspects of Supply Chain activities. This position will be responsible for establishing an effective, integrated supply chain process and identifying, defining, and implementing improvements across the supply chain. This position will manage and direct all warehouse operations, the supply chain function, customer program management personnel and be the plant process owner for sourcing & material planning, production scheduling and inventory management. This position includes situational analysis, strategy development, guidance, and implementation for the functional disciplines of supply chain development. These strategies should support the individual program needs and be complementary to Vanguard Soap’s overall supply chain management goals.
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS OF POSITION
The Manufacturing Supply Chain Leader plays a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing various facets of the supply chain to ensure operational efficiency, customer satisfaction and cost effectiveness. This multifaceted role involves strategic sourcing, production scheduling, customer program management, warehousing, inventory control, and continuous improvement. This is a “hands-on” leadership role. REQUIREMENTS
: Minimum bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred. APICS. CPIM, and/or CSCP certification are a plus. Lean Six Sigma certification a plus, continuous improvement experiences desired. Minimum of ten combined years of proven experience in supply chain, strategic sourcing & materials management, warehouse operations, production scheduling. Minimum of five years of experience in a leadership capacity. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence change. Advanced knowledge of computer software systems including Microsoft Office and ERP systems (QAD is a plus). Strong analytical, data analysis and problem-solving skills Strong negotiation and influential capabilities. Strong contract management expertise Warehouse and inventory management experience. Manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to engage and influence the organization
