Position Summary:
The Logistics Manager oversees all aspects of logistics operations at Sungwoo Hitech America, including shipping, receiving, inventory, transportation, and system-based logistics planning. This role ensures the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods, manages SAP and logistics systems, and coordinates with internal teams, suppliers, and customers (Automotive Companies) to meet delivery and quality expectations. The Logistics Manager also leads strategic initiatives to improve logistics performance, reduce costs, and support new project launches.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Manage finished goods (FG) inventory, warehouse operations, transportation, and other logistics processes.
- Oversee SAP logistics modules including Customer Master, Carrier Master, SO/DO/Shipment/GI, and container input/output.
- Monitor and resolve interface errors in
DELFOR & DEJIT
logs; share and verify delivery forecast data.
- Lead specific logistics operations including delivery planning, shipment confirmation, and container scheduling via SSCP, CSP, TMSII, etc.
- Manage CCA, SPOC and NML communications for scheduling, disputes, and expedited shipments.
- Handle Smart ID and claim applications, approvals, and modifications for container operations.
- Maintain accurate records of logistics activities and proactively dispute any unjustified penalties or charges to protect company interests.
- Oversee rack/container management including OLCT, buy-off, inventory, and documentation.
- Develop and test expendable packaging (ISTA & ASTM), manage expendable inventory, and support packing area operations.
- Manage all pricing activities related to the logistics team (expendable containers, forklifts, etc.)
- Monitor and control piece price on all FG items in SAP, including CCA parts.
- Supervise MES operations including label issuance, picking, and trailer loading/unloading.
- Ensure warehouse layout is maintained and strict FIFO inventory control is implemented.
- Record weekly shipment data and share shipping plan to internal teams.
- Monthly inventory check and closing in SAP and report to Head of department.
- Create processes for ECRs and new projects (including layout planning, hiring, trailer needs, delivery setup, etc.).
- Communicate with business partners via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) to optimize workflow.
- Address customer issues and provide problem resolutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Manage monthly and weekly sales planning and reporting to Head of Department.
- Negotiate carrier pricing and evaluate performance.
- Create and manage logistics budgets and cost-saving strategies.
- Lead and develop logistics staff, ensuring training and compliance with safety and quality systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a positive, collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business Administration, or related field. 7+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations. 3+ years in a leadership role. Experience with GM logistics systems and automotive supply chain preferred.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge :
Strong understanding of logistics systems (SAP, MES, TMSII, SSCP, CSP, MMOG/LE), GM logistics processes, and inventory control. Familiarity with Lean, continuous improvement, and quality systems.
Skills :
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and logistics software.
Abilities :
Ability to manage cross-functional teams, prioritize tasks, and communicate across departments and cultures. Bilingual in English/Korean a plus for communication with CFT members and customers.
Training Requirements:

Work Environments:
Job will generally be performed in an office and warehouse environment but may require travel to and visit a customer’s facility and/or production facility. Job requires dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations. The office area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated. Employees may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing, pre-employment physical and background checks.

Full-time Pay:
$90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
