As an Assistant Trucking Foreman, you will play a crucial role in effectively scheduling, dispatching, and overseeing the hauling of asphalt and aggregate materials to our asphalt plant and various jobsites. What you will do:

Efficiently communicate hauling orders with foremen and customers to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction. Conduct weekly truck safety meetings to promote a culture of safety and adherence to regulations. Dispatch the truck fleet in a timely and strategic manner, optimizing routes and resources to maximize efficiency. Manage and coordinate the timely and accurate delivery of materials to assigned job sites, ensuring their availability for ongoing projects. Adhere to all relevant OSHA safety regulations and

CSA 2010

guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Perform any additional duties assigned by the supervisor to support operational requirements. Conduct daily and weekly reviews of time entries using HCSS HeavyJobs software to ensure accurate records of labor and materials. Utilize Fleetwatcher Software to track and monitor the fleet, ensuring effective utilization and maintenance of vehicles. Report and record any issues or incidents promptly to address and resolve them efficiently.

What you will need:

(Minimum qualifications) Minimum of two years of experience in truck driving or related fields, with a strong understanding of trucking dispatch operations. Knowledge of the asphalt, aggregate, and paving industry is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with industry standards and best practices. Possession of a valid Class A CDL and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is preferred. Ability to handle physical workload, including loading and unloading materials as necessary. Strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering high-quality results within specified timelines. Excellent ability to follow both verbal and written instructions accurately and efficiently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with dispatch control programs to effectively manage logistics and documentation. Flexibility to work any day of the week, including day or night shifts, to accommodate operational needs. A positive attitude that promotes safety, teamwork, and a commitment to delivering quality work.
