The NARCOG Regional Transit Agency (RTA) provides safe, dependable and inexpensive transportation services for the City of Decatur. We strive to support low-income individuals, seniors, and people with disabilities by ensuring access to our services. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a vibrant, proficient and experienced Transportation Operations Manager to join our team in providing these services. The Transportation Operations Manager is responsible for: Managing and directing the day-to-day transportation operations. Coordinating the execution of public transportation routes, contract routes, and demand response services.
Personnel Management Budgeting Grant Applications Vendor Negotiations Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business, management, accounting, or related field, from an accredited college or university is preferred, OR; At least 5 years of experience in transportation operations or a related field, with at least 2 years in management or supervisory role. Experience with grant writing and management and budgeting. Ability to work nonstandard hours and operate transit vehicles as needed. A valid driver license. Full-time.
