The Fleet Manager champions the fleet as if their own and provides a personal touch to the care of all aircraft in MFT’s fleet. The Fleet Manager is an active participant in fleet planning and improvement decisions and works alongside the President and Leadership Team to budget repairs and improvements. The Fleet Manager will oversee the supply of parts inventory for fleet aircraft and coordinates outstation maintenance with FBOs. Our Fleet Manager shall be detail oriented, promote quality workmanship, and love working with piston aircraft. You should be familiar with all applicable FARs and have experience working on a variety of general aviation aircraft. You are precise and neat, and you take great pride in making (y)our fleet the best in the industry. You should have excellent computer skills and be able to use software to track and document maintenance performed on a fleet of 40+ aircraft. The Fleet Manager position at Melbourne Flight Training includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prioritize safety above all, ensuring flight operations safety remains the #1 priority. Support the Leadership Team and execute all company directives. Work closely with the flight operations team and the Leadership Team to set and implement policies, procedures, and systems; and to follow through with implementation. Manage all scheduled and non-scheduled aircraft maintenance. Engages to troubleshoot and repair systematic issues in fleet aircraft. Maintain appropriate aircraft parts and consumables inventory to ensure fleet readiness. Assist the President with fleet improvement initiatives. Develop maintenance and phase inspection programs. Ensure aircraft maintenance is conducted in regulatory compliance and in accordance with company policy. Ensure all aircraft records are kept and current. Updates and tracks and coordinates repairs on all avionics equipment and aircraft components. Helps maintain and manage aircraft related vendor relationships. Maintains aircraft as such to improve their overall condition. Perform additional functions which may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

2+ years of general aviation experience required. Hold an FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate (A&P) required, Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred. Possess and maintain Company Core Values. Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills. May be required to work nights, weekends and travel for AOG trips. Knowledgeable with Aircraft Maintenance Programs, Airworthiness Directives (ADs), and Technical Directives. High performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility.
