Assistant Fleet Manager Ric-Man Construction Florida, Inc 3100 SW 15th Street, Deerfield Beach, FL 33442 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fleet Manager to oversee our fleet operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the fleet, Including Cat and Komatsu Heavy Machinery, as well as GM Trucks and Multiple small tools, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance with regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Manage the maintenance, repair, and servicing of all vehicles within the fleet to Implement New Fleet Software recently Purchased by the company. Develop and implement policies and procedures for fleet operations that comply with industry regulations. Monitor vehicle usage and performance metrics to optimize fleet efficiency. Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining safety standards. Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs. Oversee the acquisition and disposal of vehicles in accordance with company needs. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for drivers to promote safe driving practices. Collaborate with other departments to align fleet operations with overall business objectives. Requirements Proven experience as a Fleet Manager or in a similar role within logistics or transportation industries. Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair processes. Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficient in using fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for monitoring performance metrics. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders. Valid driver’s license; additional certifications related to fleet management are a plus.
