!! Join our team as a Route Supervisor where you will oversee and coordinate daily route operations to ensure efficient and timely pick up of waste and recycling. This position offers full-time hours, competitive compensation, and opportunities for growth within our organization.
Duties:
- Supervise a team of drivers engaged in route driving, utilizing various vehicles..
- Coordinate and optimize Pick-up routes to meet customer demands while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor driver performance, provide guidance on safe driving practices, and ensure compliance with commercial driving regulations.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring proper handling and secure transport.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, shop mechanic staff, and customers to address any delivery issues or schedule changes promptly.
- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to ensure they are well-maintained and in safe working condition.
- Implement best practices for route efficiency, load optimization, and on-time deliveries.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the Waste and Recycling industry in route driving or logistics.
- Strong understanding of load/unload procedures, warehouse operations, and route planning.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with drivers, staff, and customers effectively.
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, problem-solve on-the-go, and adapt to changing delivery schedules.
