The qualified individual will be responsible for management of the driver experience as it relates to key performance areas centered around the relationship between our driver, operations and our customer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Lead, manage, and retain a designated group of drivers 2. Make sound decisions that balance customer, driver, and our business objectives which result in a high degree of efficiency and effectiveness 3. Manage driver availability to maximize productivity of our fleet 4. Handle proactive and reactive communication with drivers/internal departments/customers 5. Identify and resolve business issues in a timely manner 6. Coach/Mentor drivers 7. Dispatch and supervise assigned driver base 8. Manage on time performance goals as well as other KPI’s 9. Encourage driver initiatives (routing, MPG management, safety focus) 10. Leverage systems, equipment and processes to drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, and efficiency 11. Maintain quality customer service

Requirements :

1. Four year college degree preferred or minimum 3 years of leadership experience 2. An innovative self-starter with problem solving skills, hands-on environment, ambition, and a strong work ethic 3. Excels in helping others, recognizing needs and solving problems 4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively as a team member 5. Demonstrates positive workplace leadership and attitude 6. Ability to function in a high-stress environment 7. Demonstrated ability to communicate and listen effectively with people of diverse opinions and backgrounds 8. Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Demonstrates comfort in evaluating and applying new applications and technology. Must have ability to learn and excel in custom software application that company uses 9. EXPERIENCE

College degree or minimum 3 years of experience in transportation industry. Experience with diesel trucks, chemicals, hazardous material, all federal regulations, and tariffs, a plus
