Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Transportation Supervisor to lead our Driver Department. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and is ready to take ownership of driver scheduling, DOT compliance, and cross-department collaboration. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily driver schedules and coordinate PTO Act as primary contact for after-hours driver/warehouse issues (on-call 24/7) Provide backup support for dispatchers, office clerks, and delivery drivers when needed Monitor driver performance and enforce safety and policy compliance Move trucks within yard and occasionally make deliveries Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams to meet customer expectations Conduct interviews, manage driver onboarding, and handle disciplinary actions Track and manage driver activity through fleet monitoring systems (e.g., Samsara) Provide daily/weekly reports to management
Requirements:
2+ years of supervisory experience in transportation/logistics 5+ years of shipping/fleet management experience Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and interstate systems (FL, GA, NC, etc.) Excellent communication, planning, and leadership skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse setting
