POSITION SUMMARY
The transportation driver at Thrive Senior Living is responsible for ensuring the safety and efficient transportation of our senior residents to various activities events and appointments this position plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall well-being and quality of life for our residents by facilitating their participation in a variety of social recreational and Wellness activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and coordinate the transportation schedules, collaborating with the FIC AL Desk and Activities personnel. Safely transport senior residents to and from scheduled activities, events, medical appointments and outings as assigned. Assist residents with boarding and disembarking from the vehicle always ensuring their comfort and safety. Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the transportation vehicle performing routine inspections and reporting any issues. Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations and company policies while operating the vehicle. Develop and maintain a positive and respectful rapport with residents addressing their individual needs and preferences. Provide exceptional customer service to residents addressing any concerns or request. keep accurate records of transportation schedules, resident participation and any incidents that may occur during trips. Stay informed about local traffic conditions construction and alternative routes to ensure timely arrivals and pickups. Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the activities department when not driving.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Experience in transporting individuals, especially seniors. Have a caring and compassionate attitude with the ability to interact effectively with senior residents. Excellent communication skills and patient demeanor with the flexibility to accommodate varying schedules and resident needs. Commitment to providing exceptional customer service to senior residents. Frequent body movements include lifting, moving, transferring, bending (static forwards bending), stooping/ squatting and reaching. Able to do heavy lifting, pushing, pulling and/or carrying of objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds unassisted with twisting and turning of trunk. Ability to stand and walk prolonged periods of time.
