Position Overview:

The Manager, Transportation Performance will lead a team focused on driving fleet procurement strategies, improving carrier performance, and delivering operational efficiencies across all transportation modes. This leader will oversee transportation operations, performance metrics, and financial accountability, partnering closely with Supply Chain leadership. The role is based in Roswell, GA, and offers the opportunity to directly impact service levels and cost savings across our growing network. What you’ll do: Lead a team of direct reports focused on procurement and transportation operations Own company-wide freight procurement initiatives and activities across all modes including Truckload, LTL, parcel, ocean, intermodal, drayage, and other transportation services Monitor and drive carrier performance against scorecard metrics to ensure consistent, high-quality service to our branches and customers Lead carrier vetting, contracting, and onboarding for all freight providers Own transportation performance metrics for internal operations Be the subject matter expert for all financial performance including transportation budgeting and transportation performance versus plan Support Supply Chain projects and other initiatives, as identified

Skills We Are Seeking:

: 4+ years of experience in Transportation Operations, Transportation Procurement, or a similar role as part of a retail or wholesale operation Demonstrated ability to own, manage, and optimize freight budgets while driving performance against key operational metrics Ability to negotiate with 3rd parties for services Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly interpret and apply data insights Advanced skills in Excel, SQL, PowerBI, and other reporting platforms is required Ability to present to cross-functional teams and tell stories through data Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience in green distribution or landscape, irrigation, nursery, hardscape, or lawn and garden industry experience is a plus 4-year degree from a college or university
