Description Canterbury Court is a retirement community located in the heart of Buckhead where we put our hearts into creating a true community. As a faith-based, not-for-profit organization, we reinvest revenue into our community for the benefit of residents and staff. We are Atlanta’s first Life Plan Community (LPC) – what some call a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). Canterbury Court is looking for a driver to join our family. We have a full-time driver position available. Administrative Duties:

1. Recognize, set, and follow the priorities of his/her job. 2. Perform routine duties with minimal supervision but seek guidance as necessary. 3. Enters work orders into the Worxhub system pertaining to Transportation and print billing invoices to be kept on file in the Resident Services department. 4. Provides administrative support to the Resident Services department as necessary. B.

Communication:

1. Understands and interpret the resident population information contained in the Transportation Policy. 2. Confirms trips with residents 24 hours in advance by way of phone or paper confirmation. 3. Maintains confidentiality standards but communicates with the Resident Services Director any changes noted in transported residents. C.

Guest Services:

Assists residents with:

a. the use of assistive equipment into and out of the vehicle including a door jam handle, a wheelchair, rollator, or other such devices. b. Providing the closest pickup and drop-off point to a door upon arrival at destination. c. Loading/unloading cargo into/out of the vehicle. D.

Facility:

1. As needed respond to emergencies; maintains confidentiality and notify the appropriate management and personnel. 2. Responds appropriately to the fire alarm system and is familiar with fire drills and evacuation procedures. 3. Must follow facility policies and procedures and encourage other staff to do the same.

a. Logs in and delivers packages, groceries, dry cleaning, and perishable items to residents in a timely manner. b. Notifies the appropriate staff that they have packages for pick up.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1. The Transportation Coordinator II must be able of making mature judgements and decisions within the scope of assigned duties, demonstrate the ability to assume responsibility without direct supervision and exercise initiative. 2. He/she must adhere to all hands free safety regulations as well as sanitation guidelines provided by Canterbury Court and the CDC. 3. Must report to Director of Resident Services when making decisions for the corporation in the line of service duty that may be deemed a “critical matter.” 4. Must maintain confidentiality and observe standards of protected health information with all sensitive and protected resident and staff information. 5. Must possess strong organizational, time management, communication, and follow up skills with an attention to detail and the ability to schedule multiple transportation requests in an efficient manner. 6. Basic computer skills are essential. 7. Have the ability to interact effectively and pleasantly with residents, staff and guests. 8. Must present a positive image of Canterbury Court to all.

Requirements:

The Transportation Coordinator II is responsible for providing support to the Transportation Coordinator, providing residents with a means of transportation, by either the Canterbury 14-passenger bus or the Toyota Sienna minivan, for grocery store trips, personal trips, and Sunday church services to St. Luke’s and All Saints’ Episcopal Churches. He/She is also responsible for performing assigned duties in a manner that positively reflects Canterbury Court, with an emphasis on communication between residents and staff. A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) is required for this position.
