Traffic Control Supervisor:

The Traffic Control Supervisor manages road and highway construction projects, ensuring the safety of the work zone and its participants.

Key Responsibilities:

Traffic control devices: Setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic control devices, such as cones and signs

Traffic Routing:

Creating a traffic routing plan that complies with regulations

Flagging:

Coordinating flagging duties and controlling traffic with a sign paddle

Team Management:

Supervising teams as they install equipment, providing on-the-job training, and ensuring they follow safety protocols

Communication:

Communicating with customers and the foreman or supervisor, and notifying them of any safety issues

Job Site Maintenance:

Keeping the job site free of hazards and unloading trucks

Documentation:

Compiling daily logs

Driving:

Driving company vehicles to transport equipment and team members Any additional tasks or projects assigned by their supervisor

Requirements:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Must be certified with ATSSA credentials High school diploma or GED certificate Have at least one year of full-time field experience in the work zone traffic control Successful candidates must complete a drug screening and background check prior to employment
