Position Overview:

MAX Ultimate Food is seeking a motivated, reliable, and organized Transportation Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who excels in both logistics and organization. As a Transportation Manager , you will play a crucial role in our catering operations. This role is responsible for managing our fleet of company vehicles, ensuring all vehicles are in proper working condition, creating our daily delivery schedule, and managing our team of delivery drivers. The Transportation Manager works closely with all divisions to ensure every order and event is delivered safely and in a timely manner. Some of the key responsibilities of this role includes (but, not limited to) the following: Maintain all company vehicles (commercial vans and trucks with refrigeration units) to ensure they are clean, fully fueled, and in safe operating condition Schedule and track regular maintenance, inspections and registration renewals Ensure all vehicles meet DOT, safety, and local compliance regulations Create and manage daily and weekly delivery schedules for all catered events and drop-off orders Coordinate with internal departments to ensure on-time and accurate deliveries Optimize delivery routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness Lead, train, and manage a team of drivers, ensuring high standards for safety, punctuality, customer service, and accuracy of orders Monitor driver performance and provide feedback, support, or disciplinary action as needed Maintain clear communication with drivers and respond quickly to route changes, emergencies, delays Maintain logs of vehicle use, mileage, fuel, maintenance, and incidents Track inventory of vehicle-related supplies (fuel cards, cleaning products, etc.) Provide regular reports to leadership regarding transportation metrics and performance Support additional projects in conjunction with Facilities Manager and Warehouse Manager Perform adhoc tasks as directed by management

Requirements & Qualifications:

At least three years of leadership experience in a transportation, logistics, or fleet management role Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Must be able to pass a standard background check Must be able to work the following schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM including some weekends and holidays based on company need and business level. Must have schedule flexibility based on seasonality and company need Ability to multitask and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across all divisions Strong leadership and team management skills. High attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management abilities Ability to maintain organization and composure during high-volume service Proficiency with route planning software, spreadsheets, and scheduling tools. Must have a valid United States driver’s license and clean driving record (CDL a plus) Have prior experience in driving large vans/trucks Be able to pass a DOT physical; knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards

Compensation & Schedule:
Starting Pay:

$30 per hour, based on experience. Must be able to work the following schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM including some weekends and holidays based on company need and business level.
