Chief Executive Officer Job Summary:
This position requires assisting the Chief Executive Officer in the general administration of agency programs; develop and implement program procedures and management according to funding sources; overseer activities of assignments given to staff, formulate and network contracts pertinent to program operations; assist in implementing various media strategies; perform other related duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a related area. A Master’s Degree is preferred. Work Experience; At least five (3) years’ experience in management capacity and experience with federal programs, such as, but not limited to CSBG/, LIHEAP, Transportation (MDOT) and Housing. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, lead, work well with supervisor, communicate orally and written, plan time will and organize work; give, take, and carry out orders; and ability to work well with a wide variety of people; proven sensibility to the needs of disadvantage people. Must be mature, dependable, and a self-starter. Knowledge, skills, and abilities: must have strong written and oral communication skills, with acceptable inter-personal skills; excellent managerial skills; must be bondable; excellent computer skills; must have an in-depth knowledge of general business practices; must demonstrate ability to follow directions accurately and work independently; must be able to work well under pressure and against deadlines. Plan and supervise the routes from production to the end-user; Schedule daily and weekly routes; Track daily routes using functional systems (e.g. barcodes and tracking software); Monitor and report on transportation costs; Report maintenance and repair needs for transportation vehicles and equipment; Conduct regular safety audits on equipment; Organize training sessions for employees (e.g. proper use of machines and handling of hazardous material); Keep organized records of vehicles, schedules and completed orders; Ensure compliance with company policies; Stay up-to-date with safety regulations; Any additional duties assigned by the Chief Executive Officer Personal characteristics: must have excellent organizational skills; must be consistently fair, honest, open-minded, flexible, cooperative, adaptable to change, reliable, accountable; must be able to travel for work-related training/conferences; must be willing to work until a job or task in completed; must demonstrate professionalism; must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening, if necessary as it is required.
