Position Function:
Reporting to the Executive Director of Transportation who is responsible for the day-to-day management, administration, planning, development and program implementation within MSU Transportation.
Salary Grade:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the day-to-day management of transportation operations.
2. Supervises staff responsible for providing parking and transit services. Participates in the selection process of staff, performance management, and training.
3. Provides and/or facilitates specialized support to high level administrative, executive, and external constituents upon request.
4. Responsible for investigating and resolving customer inquiries and complaints and interpretation of policies, rules, and regulations. Follows up and provides timely solutions and/or feedback.
5. Develops, submits for approval, and implements departmental policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures. Assists in the development of grant proposals.
6. Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with outside vendors, contractors, and university departments.
7. Develops and implements short and long-term work plans for the individual functional areas of transportation including but not limited to events and marketing.
8. Recommend and implement ways to improve the services and efficiency of Transportation.
9. Responsible for the collection, analysis, and documentation of data of Transportation.
10. Provides input and assistance with budget planning and development.
11. Represents the Executive Director of Transportation as needed and assigned.
12. Performs related duties as assigned.

4. Experience in conflict resolution, negotiation and diplomacy ABDs or degree pending considered (all but DISS):

2. Knowledge of T2 systems, parking management, or similar software
3. Certified Administrator or Public Parking (CAPP) or Certified Public Facility Manager (CPFM).
