This position is onsite with our customer in Charlotte, NC Who are you? The ideal candidate for this position is a confident communicator, problem-solver, and logistics expert with experience in the transportation industry. You’re skilled at balancing driver satisfaction with operational efficiency and love the challenge of coordinating freight, people, and processes. You know how to prioritize, stay calm under pressure, and lead with fairness and consistency. Bonus points if you’ve worked with TMW, Omnitracs, or Qualcomm systems and have a deep understanding of DOT compliance.
Hiring Range:

Free online healthcare and mental healthcare upon hire 401(k) – with match! 6 paid Holidays + 3 Floating Holidays Accrued Paid Time Off from date of hire Company paid Life Insurance with buyup available Quarterly Profit Share Incentive Program Promotion from within and long-term career growth opportunities, What You’ll Do As a Dedicated Fleet Manager, you’ll: Plan and assign loads to maximize driver and equipment utilization Monitor driver compliance with Hours of Service and DOT regulations before dispatch Communicate regularly with drivers about schedules, directions, and customer expectations Manage mileage goals and tracking performance against account targets Coordinate scheduled truck maintenance with the Maintenance Department Handle load entry, planning, and driver management within the system Book freight and adjusting appointments with brokers, shippers, and consignees Collaborate with backhaul specialists to optimize routes and equipment use Track and update PTAs, ETAs, arrivals, departures, and late reports Supporting the Operations Manager with division-level projects and initiatives Knowledge and Skills to be successful: Strong grasp of DOT regulations and Hours of Service requirements Excellent time management and prioritization skills Proficient with transportation management systems and Windows-based software Effective communicator with strong decision-making abilities Experience coordinating freight with brokers, shippers, and consignees Proven ability to manage and support a team of drivers equitably and consistently Able to thrive during high-volume seasons and shift priorities quickly A customer-service mindset that doesn’t quit
