Great Lakes Petroleum is seeking a Fleet Manager to manage all day-to-day maintenance aspects of our Fleet. The Fleet Manager will lead and manage the Fleet program for all facilities. Primary Responsibilities Maintains a safe and secure work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing company standards, and policies as well as other legal regulations (DOT, OSHA, DOL) Responsible for the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of fuel trucks and other support vehicles to ensure operational efficiency Involved in strategic planning including the management of the department’s budget Reviews/processes purchase requisitions for parts and supplies; reviews vendor bid responses for tools, equipment, parts, and services Ensures all contractual requirements are achieved Assists in the recruitment of qualified Mechanics and Drivers Demonstrates a self-directed approach to completing work duties Keeps vehicle licensure and registration up to date Conducts reviews of internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations Benefits We offer a full benefits package including, health, dental, vision, FSA, and more Company paid life insurance and short-term disability 401(k) employer match Paid time off and paid holidays
Requirements:
Must have previous experience managing employees Comprehensive knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of large-scale operations Comprehensive knowledge of business practices applicable to warehouse management Ability to plan and supervise the work of others Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all customers Must be able to properly prioritize, implement and manage work schedules, projects, and assignments Frequent overnight travel is expected
