Job Overview The Manager Route Planning has direct responsibility and accountability for the Route Planning department. The Manager Route Planning ensures the productivity of ~1,700 delivery routes is achieved. The Manager Route Planning leads processes, functionality improvements, and defining of business practices regarding daily planning. The Manager Route Planning serves as the subject matter lead regarding tools and processes related to daily planning. Duties & Responsibilities Ensures effective daily planning to optimize costs that will impact free cash flow. Ensures cross-functional partnerships are effective through deliberate communication and strong relationships
Leads and motivates teams to deliver results by communicating company goals and deadlines; engaging and developing teammates through effective performance management, coaching and training; implementing continuous improvement methods and embodying company purpose and values to inspire servant leadership
Establish business processes and practices that increase the effectiveness of solutions provided to field partners. Ensure effective collaboration and solicitation of feedback for improvement in daily plans and service level agreements
Provide analysis, reporting, and recommendations for improved efficiencies and effectiveness in daily routing Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Ability to lead and motivate a department; attention to detail; process-oriented
Establish collaborative and cross-functional relationships
Detailed understanding of sales and DSD principles
Effective communication (written and oral) skills; analytical
Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP
Effective time management and problem-solving skills
Experience with reporting tools, Margin Minder, Tableau, SAP, SharePoint, Master Data Minimum Qualifications 2 years of education beyond high school in college or technical school
Knowledge acquired through 3 to up to 5 years of work experience
Valid driver’s license Preferred Qualifications 2 years of education beyond high school in college or technical school
Knowledge acquired through 3 to up to 5 years of work experience
