This isn’t an entry-level detailing job—we’re looking for a skilled, experienced detailer who can recondition vehicles inside and out, and also help manage our shop’s day-to-day fleet operations. This is an on-site role based at our shop at 4510 Louisburg Road, Raleigh, NC , with working hours from Monday through Saturday, 10AM to 6PM . What you’ll be doing day-to-day This is a dual role focused on reconditioning vehicles and keeping our operation running smoothly. You’ll be detailing and restoring customer and shop-owned vehicles—making them look showroom-ready—while also tracking service needs, organizing work, and supporting the team with errands like parts pickup.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Reconditioning vehicles inside and out: deep interior cleaning, stain and burn mark removal, and cosmetic repair work Repairing minor issues like scratched bumpers, scuffed trim, or damaged interior materials Washing, waxing, vacuuming, shampooing carpets, and full vehicle detailing Ensuring every car is ready for delivery, resale, or display Keeping service records and tracking maintenance needs for both fleet and customer vehicles Monitoring the condition of keys, batteries, and overall vehicle readiness Picking up parts for the mechanic and assisting with coordination Supporting the shop manager and head mechanic in daily operations Maintaining a clean work area and professional appearance Answering occasional customer questions when approached You’re probably a great fit if you have: 4+ years of professional auto detailing and reconditioning experience Proven ability to repair cosmetic vehicle issues and restore interior finishes Experience tracking service records and managing vehicle readiness Fluent English (Spanish is a strong plus) A valid driver’s license (clean driving record recommended) A high standard of cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail Comfort working independently and reporting to the shop manager and head mechanic Age 21+ About Car Connection Raleigh We’re a locally owned, growing auto shop in the heart of Raleigh, known for our honest work and reliable service.
