Field Supervisor Position:

A Field Supervisor at JFK T4 is a working supervisor that serves as on-site liaison between SSPTMS and the client. Field Supervisors report to the Account Manager and General Manager and are responsible for ensuring that our work areas are operated in a safe manner consistent with our contract, policies, and applicable legal standards. Field Supervisors must build and maintain strong working relationships with SSPTMS management, our employees, and the client. JFK T4

Field Supervisor Job Description:

• Understand and apply safe traffic control practices, leading subordinates by example.
• Facilitate pedestrian and vehicle traffic flow on airport terminal roadways, including but not limited to drop-off and pick-up areas.
• Oversee and direct subordinates to meet established conduct and performance standards and policy and procedural requirements.
• Provide staffing reports at the beginning and end of each tour.
• Mentor and assess subordinates.
• Ensure incidents are adjudicated correctly with proper notification.
• Prepare detailed incident reports, accident reports, recap forms, and other reports as necessary.
• Respond to unusual occurrences and execute emergency response plans when necessary.
• Communicate and take actions in real time to overcome operational and personnel challenges.
• Recognize and employ feedback from clients, Senior Field Supervisors, and SSPTMS management, ensuring that contract compliance requirements are being met.
• Carry out specific requests assigned by clients, Senior Field Supervisors, and SSPTMS management.
• Provide on-the-job training for newly hired or promoted subordinates and Field Supervisors.
• Work alongside law and traffic enforcement officers and other traffic control mechanisms in the area.
• Maintain frequent and positive contact with SSPTMS personnel, clients, and the public.
• Assist Field Operations with other tasks and special projects as needed.

JFK T4

Field Supervisor Job Requirements:

• Able to maintain a driver’s license, NYS Security Guard License, and obtain a Sterile/SIDA Badge.
• Able to work outdoors and in all weather conditions.
• Able to stand and walk for up to twelve (12) hours.
• Self-motivated, with a desire to “lead from the front.”
• Capable of identifying and responding to situations quickly and accurately.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills (including via text, phone, email, and radio).
• Strong report writing skills with special attention to grammar, spelling, and usage.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and de-escalation skills.
• Excellent active listening skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Competent to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Experience Required:

• Proven track record of progressive supervisory experience in the fields of traffic management, airport security, law enforcement, or the military (3+ years required).

JFK T4

Field Supervisor Schedule:

• Schedules are variable.
• Daytime (0600 x 1800) and overnight (1800 x 0600) tours are available.
• Will be scheduled to work 3 to 4 days per week, including at least one (1) weekend day (Saturday or Sunday).

FLSA Status and Salary:

• The Field Supervisor is a full-time, non-exempt position.
