Container Delivery Manager Confidential Belle Vernon, PA 15012
Job Summary:
The Container Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery, pickup, and exchange of roll-off and front-load containers. This role ensures efficient scheduling, safe operations, timely service, and excellent customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics or fleet operations and be able to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing Operations:
Manage daily operations of container delivery and pickup, including scheduling, route optimization, and coordinating with drivers and dispatchers.
Inventory Management:
Manage the inventory of containers, ensuring adequate supply to meet customer demand and maintaining containers and good repair.
Supervisory Duties:
Manage a team of drivers and other personnel, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
Safety and Compliance :
Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards related to waste management and container handling.
Customer Interaction:
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints regarding container services.
Financial management:
Assist in budget preparation, monitor expenses, and manage resources efficiently.
Performance Monitoring:
Track and report on operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Site Evaluations:
Conduct site evaluations to ensure locations are suitable for safe and proper container servicing.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Relevant experience and solid waste operations, including collection, transportation, and logistics, with a minimum of three years in a supervisory or management role.
Education:
A bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as business or public administration is preferred.
Skills :
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with OSHA and DOT regulations, waste management best practices, and route optimization systems is beneficial.
Certifications:
A valid commercial driver’s license CDL is beneficial.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform physical tasks related to container handling and work in various weather conditions may be necessary.
Working Conditions:
