The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the fleet, ensuring that all vehicles are maintained, compliant with regulations, and operating efficiently. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency in all fleet operations. In addition to, you will have a take home company work truck. Responsibilities Manage the fleet of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
Managing drivers:
This involves hiring, training, and managing drivers, as well as ensuring they comply with regulations and safety standards.
Communicating with drivers:
This involves keeping drivers informed of schedule changes, route information, and other important information.
Scheduling drivers:
This involves assigning drivers to specific loads and routes, taking into account driver hours, regulations, and safety.
Monitoring driver performance:
This involves tracking driver hours, mileage, and other relevant metrics to ensure compliance and safety. Develop and implement fleet policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency. Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs as necessary. Monitor fuel consumption and implement strategies for cost reduction. Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, maintenance, and inspections. Train and supervise drivers to ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards. Analyze fleet performance data to identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with other departments to support logistics and transportation needs.
