Non-Exempt Job Description:
This role will inspect and coordinate traffic safety activities within the City.
Examples of Duties:
Conducts traffic studies and counts at intersections. Analyzes traffic count data and prepares reports. Reviews and approves permits for parking meters and street closings following designated procedures. Reviews and analyzes and files traffic incident reports from the Police Department to determine frequency of accidents at various streets and intersections. Makes traffic safety recommendations to management. Investigates and analyzes traffic related issues. Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Associate’s degree (AA/AS) and 4 years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid driver’s license. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar software.
Other Necessary Requirements:
May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. In the event of major storms or other emergency situations, this position may be subject to 24-hour shifts or any other emergency schedule that is necessary to meet the City’s needs.
